What happens after investigations conducted by financial jurisdictions ?

Faced with deteriorating public finances and a difficult political and social context, the financial jurisdictions are reaffirming their role as watchdogs of public action and publishing their annual report on the follow-up to recommendations. Each year, the Cour des comptes and the regional and territorial chambers of accounts (CRTC) publish an average of 1,200 reports and issue hundreds of recommendations to the heads of public administrations. These recommendations, which are based on the most significant findings of their investigations, are intended to guide the thinking and decision-making of public actors towards improving the efficiency of public policies and management.
