Covid-19 : SAI France continues to carry out its missions

According to the decisions announced by the President of the Republic, the French Cour des comptes and the regional chambers of accounts (CRC) have implemented an internal organisation which enforces remote working and allows for the strict observance of the rules of confinement and restriction of movement.

Public hearings have been suspended and all procedures are now dematerialized.
Until further notice, SAI France will therefore continue to carry out its missions of monitoring the proper use of public funds and informing citizens.
In particular, it will carry out, within the deadlines set by law, the work leading to mandatory reports or opinions, including: for the Court, the report on the implementation of the State's 2019 budget and the certification of its accounts; for the CRCs, budgetary opinions on the management of local authorities at the request of prefects.
All the investigative work is carried out with the primary concern of the audited administrations and bodies, in order not to create burdens or constraints that would interfere with their missions, in a context where public action is now entirely focused on the fight against the Coronavirus epidemic and the preservation of the health and safety of our fellow citizens.
