Social assistance policies are primarily characterised by the payment of minimum social benefits (more than €30 billion in 2024). Since 2015, the financial jurisdictions have been working on the main monetary social benefits. However, these benefits are not always enough to provide a lasting solution to the difficulties faced by the people who receive them and to ensure their integration into society. In addition, the work of a social worker is intended to make monetary social benefits more effective. The Court's investigations focused on two major institutions in the social field: the departments and the family allowance funds. A survey was also carried out on the training of social workers.
